Your comments and emails asked for it...pic of the hairstyle I finally decided on!
Let me take you on the hair style decision making tour!
First I flipped through old pics of myself and was appalled that I even let myself out in public with some of my hairstyles! No way were any of them going to work now!
Thought about growing my hair long again and then I thought about the VW Bug story...When I was a teenager I modeled hairstyles. For one of the shows the stylist teased my hair to at least a foot out from my head, twisted and curled it on top, anchored it with handfuls of bobby pins and a can of hairspray. When I got into my VW, the top of my hair hit the inside roof and I had to slouch down to drive to the show! It took me hours to take my hair apart and wash it! No way do I want to spend all that time with concrete towering hair!
Sat in the hair salon and wore my fingers to blisters looking at all the books of hairstyles. Consulted with my stylist and the others in the salon. No one could agree on the style I should have. Ugh!
Even emailed my 12 year old granddaughter as what to do with my hair. She has blue stripes in hers! Wonder how this grandma would look with that! LOL!
Finally I chickened out on drastic style measures. I had it trimmed and decided to contemplate alternative styles later. Maybe I'll put all the ideas in a hat and pick one! Maybe you can all vote on one for me!
I've settled on the wash and wear,no blow dryer or curling iron or hair product Florida cool hairstyle!
Hmmm...how would I look as a blonde????

Styling

Tomorrow I go to the hair stylist for a consultation. Should I cut my hair short? Let it grow out? Perm? Color? Or if I can't decide, maybe shave it off!
Will the style fit my great personality and adorable good looks (Oops...a slip of my ego! LOL!)
Wonder if I don't like the way it looks after the stylist finishes? Is there anything I can do to revise it and make it look the best it can?
Writing style is difficult to develop. There's lots of styles to try on. If you're not happy with your style you can consult a stylist...editor, critique group, family, etc.
No matter what style you end up with it's important to look your best!
How would you describe your style? Has it changed from when you first began writing?

ACHOO!

It's that time...Achoo!...that we here in Florida...Achoo!...unwelcome spring!...Achoo! And with it comes the dreaded pollen...Achoo!
This past week, I've set new personal records for sneezing, blowing my nose, wiping itchy, watery eyes and wheezing!
I've cornered the market on the purchase of Aloe lotioned tissues, eye drops, nasal sprays and two prescriptions.
I must be hallucinating from all the meds because I got a fit of laughing thinking I had become a multiple personality of the Seven Dwarfs!
Sleepy - At least I'm getting extra naps because of all the antihistimines making me drowsy. (Is Drowsy a dwarf????)
Dopey - Thanks to the antihistimines...again...I walk around the house wondering where I'm going and what I'm doing.
Happy - To have lots of tissues and meds and all the TLC my Hubby gives me.
Bashful - To out in public with swollen red eyes and Rudolph nose.
Grumpy - Because I can't write!
Sneezy - I'm doing my best imitation of him!
Doc - Please send me one now!
Back to posting when I can type more than two words in a row without blowing out of my chair! LOL!

Say What?

For me, Math = Misery And Trepidation Hysteria! No matter how hard I try, I can not speak Math. It's a foreign language that I will never grasp...and don't want to!
Hubby speaks Math. He loves and excels at anything to do with math, electronics, computers and engineering. Yesterday, for the hundredth time, to the tenth power, square rooted, etc...he tried to explain Algebra to me. It brought joy to him to be speaking his language and a panic attack to me.
I speak the language of English and creative writing. Hubby has two college degrees(of course one is in Math) and he is at a loss to understand sentence structure, creative writing rules and publication guidelines.
If that's not enough of a communication problem, Hubby is a Southern boy from Mississippi and I'm a Yankee girl from MA.
We need an interpeter to help us communicate! LOL! Can you help us?
Any of you out there in Blogville in the same situation?

Games People Play

Hubby and I like to play games. Card and board games are our favorites and we also enjoy our Wii games.
I am a very competitive game player. Even though I love to play Texas Hold'Em Poker, I'd never win in a real game because I don't have a poker face. I've been known to complain, gripe, pout and even have to admit to tossing a few cards!
Hubby is a laid back, quiet player whose expression remains the same. I never know what he's thinking or what his next move will be.
What happens when you put these two characters into a story? What life games would they play? What rules would they follow or would they cheat? Got to run! I feel another story coming on! LOL!
What are your favorite games to play? Do any of your characters play games?

What Would You Do?
Whatever you're reading now, put a bookmark in it, put it down, and get this book, "Walking In His Steps Again" by David Heeren.
It's been a long time since I've read a book that captured me from page one to the end. Several times I had to remind myself to breathe as I fought tears and anxiety to get to the end always wondering how/if the characters were going to survive the trials and tribulations they faced.
One of the main characters is Ellen who is arrested on false charges of child abuse based on an anonymous accusation. She ends up in prison, where she is beaten almost to death. After being bailed out she breaks some laws, but only the ones she has to break to save her young daughters Jen and Jill. What would you do if your children suddenly were taken forcefully from your home? Wouldn't you do everything within your power to get them back?
Ellen is one of several characters who make a commitment to follow in Jesus' footsteps for a year and their commitments lead to dramatic and unexpected changes in their lives.
David has self-published this book. For more information on the book, the author and purchasing, contact David.
